Reverse Tracks
A first for the F1® game series—reverse layouts are available for select circuits like Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring. These aren't simple mirror images; they’ve been completely reworked to accommodate racing in the opposite direction, from AI retraining to updated race-day visuals.
LIDAR-enhanced tracks
F1® 25 introduces advanced Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) scanning to improve track accuracy. Circuits including Bahrain, Miami, and Suzuka have been digitally scanned to capture everything from surface texture to curb elevation, creating a more lifelike racing experience
Graphics and AI enhancements
On the visual front, lighting and shadow behavior have been fine-tuned to reflect real-world conditions more naturally. For high-end PC users, Path Tracing pushes boundaries with even more lifelike reflections and indirect lighting, building upon traditional ray tracing.
AI drivers have also been improved. They now make smarter decisions about when to attack, defend, and deploy DRS/ERS, delivering a more challenging and realistic opponent.
