SimRacing Expo 2026 is underway in Frankfurt, with Fanatec showcasing its latest hardware alongside an early look at several products still in development.
Project Obsidian brings together technologies and design experience developed across generations of Fanatec steering wheels. Its most distinctive feature is a 5-inch, high-resolution color display, integrated beneath a single piece of glass alongside the RevLEDs and illuminated rotary switches. The wheel also features RGB-backlit buttons and a robust all-aluminum structure.
Designed with SimHub and console compatibility in mind, Obsidian supports detailed telemetry through USB or Wi-Fi, including UDP telemetry for broad compatibility with console games.
The prototype is being shown earlier in development than usual, reflecting the strong community demand for a Fanatec steering wheel with a large color display. Development is ongoing, with Fanatec gathering feedback ahead of its planned launch in 2027.
Fanatec is also introducing the ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing, celebrating the RB22 Formula 1 car and 22 years of Red Bull Racing. Its distinctive design incorporates the jacquard pattern from the RB22, a forged carbon finish, and a preinstalled Podium Advanced Paddle Module with matching forged carbon paddles.
The new wheel follows the popularity of the Formula V2.5-based Oracle Red Bull Racing limited edition from 2024. In response to continued demand, the new version will enter regular production, with availability expected from mid-November.
The ClubSport Formula Cockpit is also being prepared for public sale. Previously used at Formula 1 events and in the F1 Sim Racing World Championship, the revised design offers improved adjustability and compatibility for home users. An Oracle Red Bull Racing version is on display in Frankfurt, with public availability planned for 2027.
Fanatec is providing an early look at ClubSport Pedals V4, the first ground-up redesign of the ClubSport Pedals since the landmark original introduced in 2008.
Building on the development of the new Podium Pedals platform, ClubSport Pedals V4 shares many of the same design principles and mechanical adjustment capabilities, with a more accessible price category in mind. The new pedals will occupy the middle of the Fanatec range when they launch in 2027.
Further details about ClubSport Pedals V4 will be shared in the coming months.
Podium Pedals Sport launched on October 16, introducing a new two-pedal configuration with GT-style aluminum pedal plates. The complete three-pedal Podium Pedals set is now expected towards the end of 2026.
Fanatec is also showcasing new accessories for the ClubSport GT Cockpit, including D-BOX-approved mounting brackets and livery panels.
The recently announced ClubSport F1® Racing System is making its European public debut, while visitors can also try the upcoming PlayStation 5 version of BeamNG.drive ahead of its October 19 Early Access release.
From newly launched products to prototypes planned for 2027, the Fanatec exhibition area offers visitors a broad look at the continued development of its sim racing ecosystem.
