Fanatec and Black Falcon have joined forces to launch BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC, a creator-led program competing with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The collaboration brings together proven GT racing expertise and some of the most recognizable names in sim racing and automotive media.
Black Falcon’s experience in endurance racing provides the competitive foundation. Fanatec adds deep roots in sim racing hardware and a global community that understands performance from both sides of the screen. Together, the aim is clear: to field a serious entry on one of the most demanding circuits in the world while documenting the journey in a way only creators can.
The driver line-up reflects the crossover between virtual and real-world racing. Jimmy Broadbent, Steve Alvarez Brown and Misha Charoudin are joined by experienced racer and Nürburgring 24hr winner Manuel Metzger across the program.
Broadbent and Alvarez Brown have built substantial audiences through sim racing and motorsport-focused content. Charoudin’s extensive Nürburgring experience adds local knowledge and consistency, while Metzger brings established GT racecraft and familiarity with the Porsche platform.
The project builds on the growing presence of creator-led entries in endurance racing, demonstrating how skills developed in simulation can translate to competitive environments when paired with the right support structure.
Preparation for the Nordschleife demands precision. Simulator training, data analysis, and structured testing all play a role in readying drivers for the unique challenges of the circuit.
Fanatec’s hardware ecosystem underpins that preparation. The same technology used by sim racers worldwide forms part of the drivers’ training process, helping bridge the gap between digital practice and real-world execution.
Making use of Fanatec's high end equipment, including the ClubSport GT Cockpit, Podium DD, and Podium Pedals, and working closely with simulation developers to optimize the realism of the car handling and setup changes, the team will be able to effectively prepare for every race.
BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC begins its campaign with clear objectives and a long season ahead. The Nürburgring calendar offers no easy rounds, and the learning curve is steep, even for experienced drivers.
What makes this project compelling is the visibility of that process. Audiences will see the preparation, the setbacks, and the progress as it happens.
As the season unfolds, the focus remains on development, consistency and strong performances at one of motorsport’s most respected venues. This is the opening chapter of the program, with plenty still to come.
