If you want to get the most out of your Fanatec steering wheel, the Podium Advanced Paddle Module is an excellent choice to upgrade. This automotive grade quality accessory has a CNC machined aluminium cage with 3 mm thick carbon fiber plates. Four magnetic paddles provide a great, solid “click” feeling and allow for rapid shifting. And with its dual clutch paddles, you will be able to optimize launch starts, or can even configure them as a handbrake or accelerator and brake - giving you the ability to drive without any additional pedals.
What is the Podium Advanced Paddle Module best suited for?
One of the best usecases for the Podium Advanced Paddle Module is Formula-style racing – especially when paired with one of Fanatec’s Formula steering wheels. For example, the dual clutch paddles allow you to set a well adjusted bite point, which can make a big difference when performing race starts or exiting from the pit. The two extra paddles can also be assigned to functions like DRS activation, ERS deployment or push-to-talk.
But the Podium Advanced Paddle Module is also a great addition for all non-Formula style steering wheels, since the extra inputs can be very useful and beneficial in almost all other styles of racing, or driving in gerneral.

The Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3 already has the Podium Advanced Paddle Module pre-installed.
Note: CSL and CSL Elite steering wheels are not compatible with the Podium Advanced Paddle Module. Visit the product page for a full list of compatible steering wheels and Hubs.
Setup
Since most compatible Fanatec steering wheels already have other shifters pre-installed, you will have to swap them with the Podium Advanced Paddle Module. Installation is easy and straightforward though. We recommend following our detailed Online Manual and watching the YouTube Tutorial:
Download and install the latest drivers and/or software directly from the Fanatec website or via the Fanatec App (Windows PC required). This includes the Fanatec Control Panel, which allows you to customize your settings.
With the Fanatec software and Tuning Menu access via your steering wheel, you can set the dual clutch paddles to four different modes:
- Clutch Bite Point: This feature can be used in any game with an analogue clutch axis. Both left and right analogue paddles work in parallel; the primary paddle is determined by which is pressed further.
- Clutch / Handbrake: Left paddle = Clutch. Right paddle = Handbrake.
- Brake / Throttle: Left paddle = Brake. Right paddle = Throttle.
- Mappable Axes: Paddles can be mapped as two additional axes. This may be shared with the analogue joystick on some steering wheels.
