Guide to Fanatec’s CSL Steering Wheel GT3

The steering wheel is fully compatible with Windows PC. Attach this wheel to any compatible Fanatec base and the whole system (including attached peripherals such as shifters, pedals, or handbrake) will work on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One®.

Download and install the Fanatec App (Windows PC required).

After installing the Fanatec App, open it and make sure that your wheel base and steering wheel firmware are up to date. If new firmware is available, a red dot will be displayed next to the firmware icon. Click on the icon to open the Firmware Manager and simply follow the instructions.

The app allows you to customize your settings. You can also adjust your wheel base settings like force feedback, steering wheel sensitivity, damper, friction, Multi-Position Switch mode, and more. All these settings can also be accessed directly via the Tuning Menu on your steering wheel without being connected to a PC.

The CSL Steering Wheel GT3 is compatible with all current Fanatec wheel bases, as well as the Podium Wheel Base DD1 PS4™.
If you are just getting into sim racing or on a budget, the CSL DD offers a great entry point. Due to the lightweight construction of the CSL Steering Wheel GT3, 5 Nm of force will still give you a lot of fine detailed feedback.
If you want a higher-end experience, Fanatec offers plenty of options like the ClubSport DD+ or Podium Wheel Base DD2.
