My wheel is shaking while driving in a stright line, with high speed or when braking

This effect is also known as “oscillation”, and not a hardware defect. Such unpleasant feelings are often caused by a combination of force feedback programming in the game, and improper Tuning Menu settings.  We expect that users will want to get the most out of their wheel bases, but this is not achieved by maxing out all available Tuning Menu settings.

Often this makes the car undriveable, as well as deliver unpleasant force feedback behavior.  For a good baseline, you can check the FANATEC Recommended settings for the game you wish to play. You will find a list of games we have created settings for on our forum under the “Racing Simulations / Racing Games” section linked here

Please note that the settings are different for each platform so please take a moment to scroll down until you find the correct platform you are searching for. Once you have applied the FANATEC recommended settings, you can test them to see if they suit you. If not, you can fine tune some settings until they match your driving style. A complete explanation of the tuning menu settings can be found here
