Polyphony Digital has rolled out a feature-packed update for Gran Turismo 7™, adding a selection of new cars, events, and gameplay enhancements to further enrich the racing simulation experience. Here’s a breakdown of what players can expect in this latest update.

GT7 May Update1

New cars join the line-up

Four new vehicles have been added, giving players fresh options across a range of performance levels. The highlights include the powerful Ferrari 812 Superfast '17 and the classic Chevrolet® Corvette Z06 (C5) '01, both available in Brand Central. The update also brings variety with the Honda® CR-V e:HEV EX・Black Edition '21, and the quirky but lovable Suzuki Carry KC '12, known for its utility and charm.

Gran Turismo Sophy expands

The AI racing system, Gran Turismo Sophy, makes its debut on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix Layout. This advanced AI is exclusive to the PlayStation®5 version of the game, delivering smarter and more adaptive opponents for an elevated challenge.

New events in World Circuits

Three new races have been added to the World Circuits mode. Players can test their skills in the American Clubman Cup 700 at Interlagos, the Lightweight K-Cup at Eiger Nordwand, and the Ferrari Circuit Challenge at Deep Forest Raceway—each offering new rewards and excitement.

Expanded Café conversations

Character interactions at the Café have been enhanced, with new conversations unlocked by switching to specific vehicles in your garage. Notable cars include the Mercedes-Benz Unimog Type 411 '62, Toyota® C-HR S '18, and the Peugeot 205 GTI '88, among others.

Brand Central and GT Auto epdates

Museum entries for AFEELA and Mercedes-Benz have been added, enriching the historical depth of the game. GT Auto now allows engine swaps for ten cars, including icons like the Porsche 911 Carrera RS Club Sport (993) '95 and Toyota GR86 RZ '21, available at Collector Level 50.

Other enhancements

  • A new Scapes curation, “Shooting the perfect square,” has been introduced.
  • Steering feedback has been improved for some controllers.
  • Legend Car prices have been updated to reflect real-world valuations via Hagerty.
  • Localization improvements and minor bug fixes round out the update.
