The F1 25: 2026 Season Pack is available worldwide today, June 3, at 5 PM CEST. Available as DLC for all versions of F1 25, the pack brings the complete 2026 Formula One season to the game, including the latest cars, teams, drivers, regulations, and circuits.

This marks a significant change for the series. Rather than releasing a standalone F1 26 title, EA SPORTS and Codemasters have chosen to deliver the new season as an expansion for F1 25. The developers have stated that this approach allows them to focus more resources on a major step forward for the franchise, planned for 2027.

New teams, new cars, new challenges

While the core game modes remain unchanged, the 2026 Season Pack introduces a completely refreshed Formula One grid. Cadillac joins the championship as the eleventh team, while Audi replaces Sauber. Naturally, all the driver changes since last season are also in place.

2026 cars represent the most significant regulation changes to F1 in decades. Overall downforce is reduced by around 15%, and the cars are smaller and more agile. Reduced mechanical and aero grip, combined with a greater contribution from electric power, should create more responsive and playful handling.

Drive Formula One's newest circuit ahead of its debut

One of the headline additions is MADRING, the all-new street circuit in Madrid.

Although the venue has yet to host a real Formula One Grand Prix, players can already experience the layout in the game. Winding through the streets of Spain's capital city, MADRING offers the opportunity to learn and master the circuit before Formula One drivers take to the track in reality.

Authentic 2026 regulations come to life

The 2026 Season Pack faithfully recreates Formula One's controversial new technical regulations.

A much greater proportion of the car's performance now comes from electrical energy, creating a more balanced split between the combustion engine and electric motor. Active aerodynamics also play a major role, changing how drivers approach both qualifying and race strategy.

Energy management becomes a much bigger factor throughout a race. Players will need to lift and coast in certain situations to maximize battery regeneration, and you can expect pass-and-repass battles already becoming familiar during the real 2026 season.

With Formula One continuing to evaluate and refine aspects of the regulations based on feedback from drivers, teams, and audiences, it will be interesting to see how players respond to the virtual version.

Master the new energy systems

The 2026 cars introduce new ways to deploy electrical power.

Overtake Mode delivers an enormous burst of energy in designated activation zones, serving a similar strategic purpose to DRS in previous seasons. Alongside this, Boost Mode can be activated anywhere on the circuit, giving drivers complete control over how and when they use their available energy.

Compared to the previous ERS systems, the available electrical power is much greater, but energy is both consumed and regenerated at a much faster rate. Understanding when to attack, defend, and recharge will be a crucial skill for extracting maximum performance from the new generation of Formula One machinery.
