ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 vs GT3 Endurance: What’s the Difference?

The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 and ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance share the same 318 mm diameter and grip shape, with overmolded rubber grips inspired by the steering wheel of the BMW M4 GT3.

They also both include printable sticker sheets, allowing unique visual customization.

The GT3 Endurance came first, finding a new application for the Podium Button Module Endurance. The GT3 followed, bringing the same rim shape without the need for the button module.

The Podium Button Module Endurance was originally developed as part of Fanatec’s replica Porsche 911 GT3 R (991) steering wheel. Its distinctive front graphic was therefore closely tied to that particular wheel.

The ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance was designed to give the Button Module Endurance a different character and a new purpose. Rather than leaving its original face exposed, the rim features a full front plate with precisely machined openings for the buttons, toggle switches, and rotary encoders. This integrates the module into a clean GT3-style design while retaining its extensive range of inputs.

To connect the Podium Button Module Endurance, you will also need either a Podium Hub or a ClubSport Universal Hub V2 / V2 for XBOX.

The positive response to the GT3 Endurance rim’s size and grip shape inspired another idea: offer the same driving experience without requiring the Podium Button Module Endurance.

That became the ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3, designed primarily around the ClubSport Universal Hub and its adjustable Button Clusters. As the Universal Hub has been part of the Fanatec ecosystem for many years, the new rim offered an opportunity to give existing hardware a fresh purpose.

The key was a specially developed reinforcement bracket. It positions the Universal Hub Button Clusters naturally around the GT3 rim while improving rigidity and precision mounting.

The clean spoke design also allows the rim to be used without Button Clusters, for instance if paired with the Podium Hub.

The feel is fundamentally the same, thanks to their shared 318 mm diameter and grip shape. The decision comes down to the controls and hardware you want to use.

Choose the GT3 Endurance to build around the Podium Button Module Endurance and its extensive controls. Choose the GT3 for a simpler configuration, particularly if you already own a ClubSport Universal Hub that deserves another turn on your rig.
