It’s best suited for CSL DD setups (5Nm or 8Nm), where it performs extremely well within its intended range.
The QR2 Wheel-Side fully supports High Torque Mode on Podium and ClubSport wheel bases, making it the better choice for those pushing higher FFB levels and using ClubSport or Podium wheels.
However, those seeking the highest level of durability and precision—whether for professional sim racing or real-world motorsport applications—should consider the QR2 Pro Wheel-Side. Crafted from a single block of aviation-grade billet aluminium, it meets FIA standards and represents the pinnacle of Fanatec’s quick release technology.
Which one should you choose?
If you’re using a CSL DD and plan to stay within 8Nm of torque, the QR2 Lite Wheel-Side is more than capable, offering great performance with less cost. If you want to unlock High Torque Mode or plan to upgrade to stronger wheel bases or premium steering wheels, the QR2 Wheel-Side makes more sense.
