BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC returns to the Nürburgring Nordschleife this weekend, and you should have no trouble spotting the car.
For NLS8 and NLS9, the team’s Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will race in a completely new livery, chosen from the Fanatec community design competition. And there will be twice as many opportunities to see it in race trim, with two four-hour races across September 12 and 13.
The winning design was created by Stanislav Tarasov (@cm.industry), who took inspiration from something surprisingly simple: water droplets moving across the surface of a car at speed.
That sense of movement became the basis for the flowing graphics across the Porsche’s bodywork, combined with a striking palette of magenta, violet, yellow, black, and white.
The design deliberately moves away from the colors normally associated with Fanatec. Among the competition entries, Tarasov’s concept stood out with an identity of its own, while retaining a strong Fanatec presence across the car.
Now the concept has made the transition from render to race car, ready for its first competitive laps around the Nordschleife.
The livery was professionally applied with great attention to detail.
The September NLS double-header is one of the most intense weekends on the calendar. NLS8 takes place on Saturday, September 12, followed immediately by NLS9 on Sunday, with four hours of racing each day.
That means two qualifying sessions, two starts, and eight hours of racing around the combined Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit and Nordschleife in the space of a single weekend.
The team last raced at NLS7 in August, returning to competition after the extensive rebuild required following the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Despite a puncture costing approximately five minutes, the Porsche recovered to finish fifth among the Cup cars and 20th overall.
This weekend brings two more opportunities to build on that performance, now with an entirely new look.
The winning design can also find its way into your own Fanatec setup.
A printable version of Tarasov’s livery is available to download from the ClubSport Wheel Rim GT3 Endurance product page. Print the design onto one of the included sticker sheets, and it can be applied to the wheel’s front plate to bring the colors of the BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC Porsche Cup car into your cockpit.
Then it is time to watch the real thing in action.
Follow BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC across NLS8 and NLS9 on September 12 and 13. Both races will be available to watch live on the official NLS YouTube channel.
