With the first entry in the series released in 2012, Forza Horizon has since become a favorite among racing fans. A vast open world, hundreds of cars, outstanding presentation, and compelling game modes are just a few reasons for the game’s continuing success. Forza Horizon 6 (FH6) is primed to continue this legacy - this time set in Japan.
For optimal performance, ensure that your PC has an SSD and at least 16 GB of RAM installed. Forza Horizon’s game world is huge, so while you might get the game running with lower performing hardware, the experience will certainly be hampered. For online play, a stable broadband internet connection with low latency is recommended.
One of the advantages of gaming on PC - you have full control over the in-game settings. If high fps is a priority for you, you can lower your graphics settings like resolution, texture detail, shadows, etc. and gain performance in return.
Similarly, if you are happy with a lower framerate, you can have the game running with higher fidelity. Additionally, modern upscaling methods like DLSS or FSR can give you a significant boost in performance or graphics quality.
At launch, Forza Horizon 6 will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles, with a PlayStation®5 version coming later in 2026. Depending on your platform, there are several options you have when choosing your Fanatec gear.
On PC, you can freely choose any Fanatec equipment, since there are no limits regarding compatibility. If you are not yet in the Fanatec Ecosystem, the CSL DD QR2 Ready2Race Bundle is a great entry. It includes a Base, steering wheel, and pedals – everything you need to get started. From there, you can upgrade at any time if you want to get an even more immersive racing experience.
If you want to play on Microsoft’s console you will need a wheel designed for Xbox. The CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC is a great allrounder at an entry-level price point. With the ClubSport Universal Hub V2 for Xbox, you will be able to add any of Fanatec’s wheel rims or third-party rims with a suitable bolt pattern. With the Universal Hub, you’re able to create and customize your personal steering wheel.
Once you have a compatible wheel, you can use any Fanatec Base and all Fanatec pedals and peripherals.
For PS®5, you will need a PlayStation-compatible Base like the Gran Turismo® DD Pro Wheel Base or the ClubSport DD+. These Bases can then be combined with any other Fanatec product.
