Guide to Fanatec’s CSL Cockpit V1.5
Getting good results in sim racing requires a lot of practice and the resulting consistency. While this can surely be achieved with a desk setup using table clamps like the CSL DD Table Clamp or ClubSport DD Table Clamp, a dedicated rig or cockpit can be highly beneficial. The CSL Cockpit V1.5 is a great entry point if you want to take your sim racing experience to the next level.
Features
Despite its light and minimal appearance, the CSL Cockpit is highly versatile and adjustable. The strong and lightweight trapeze chassis constructed from aluminium tubing and steel brackets is optimised for minimum flex and high structural strength. This allows for the force feedback of your wheel base to be transferred to your hands without loss of important info on your car’s behaviour and the road’s characteristics – keeping you in full control at any time. The strong pedal mounting is also designed to handle pedals with load cell brakes for consistent performance.
Both the wheel base and pedal mount can be adjusted in angle and distance to get your prefect driving position. The wheel base can also be mounted inverted – ideal for karting or truck sims.

Assembly
The CSL Cockpit V1.5 can be set up very easily. All tools you need are included. Usually, the process will take somewhere between 45 – 90 minutes. Some of the steps can be easier with a person assisting you but can also be done on your own. Make sure to set up the cockpit in the place you are planning to use it and to attach the included protective foot pads (felt and rubber) depending on either carpet or hard flooring. At just 7 kg, the CSL Cockpit Seat is an ideal match for the strong and light CSL Cockpit. With a durable woven fabric and supportive foam cushioning, it’s comfortable for those long sim racing sessions.
These sliders provide a fast and convenient way to adjust your seat position, particularly when the rig is regularly used by different sized drivers. Many third-party seats are also compatible with the seat sliders (check your seat manufacturer’s documentation).
The CSL Cockpit Monitor Holder supports a wide range of monitor sizes. By bolting directly to the rig, you know it will remain in the same position every session. With height and lateral adjustment options, you can find the perfect position of your display. The kit includes extra supports for keeping those huge ultrawide monitors completely stable, even when you’re fighting with a high-torque direct drive wheel base.
The CSL Cockpit Monitor Stand is designed to match the appearance of the CSL Cockpit and offers stable support for displays up to 60”. Find the perfect position for your display. Included mounting plates fit VESA standard patterns of 100 x 100 mm, 200 x 100 mm and 200 x 200 mm.
The CSL Cockpit Shifter Holder can be easily mounted on the left or right side of the driver. You can mount your Fanatec Handbrake too – the bracket design is strong enough to support both. With height and lateral adjustment options, you can find the perfect position of your shifter for optimum comfort and performance. It is sturdy even at its highest position.
Lifting your PC or console off the floor can help to improve cooling, and your setup will look much cleaner. The shelf is sturdy enough to handle heavy gaming PCs without increasing the compact footprint of the CSL Cockpit.
The CSL Cockpit Keyboard Holder can be installed anywhere along the main frame of the CSL Cockpit, or on the optional CSL Cockpit Shelf. It allows for easy and quick access to not only keyboards, but also accessories like controllers or headsets.
