Guide to Fanatec's ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp

A manual shifter can immensely add to immersion and enrich your sim experience. With the ClubSport Shifter SQ V1.5, Fanatec offers a solution that works for both sequential and H-pattern shifting. This makes it ideal for all kinds of racing disciplines and cars, be it Rally, Drift, classic cars, etc. If you do not have a dedicated cockpit like the CSL Cockpit or ClubSport GT Cockpit, you can also mount your shifter to a desk or table with the ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp.

The Table Clamp’s design allows for various height adjustments when using your shifter’s T-slot rails and mounting to the front. You can also mount the shifter on top for maximum height. Due to the clamp’s metal design, the mount will be rock solid with no play. It supports table thickness up to 77 mm.
The ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp is compatible with the ClubSport Shifter SQ V1.5, as well as older versions like the ClubSport Shifter and ClubSport Shifter SQ. The clamp can also be used with the ClubSport Handbrake Clamp Adapter.

To mount your shifter to the top of the clamp, simply align the mounting holes with the threads in the bottom of the shifter, and attach it using 4 countersunk M6 bolts.

Before mounting your shifter to the front of the clamp, first insert the T-nuts included with your shifter into the side rails. To attach the shifter, align it with the holes in the table clamp and use M5 bolts. In this configuration, you can adjust the shifter’s height before tightening the bolts to best suit your preference.

The ClubSport Shifter Table Clamp can also be used to mount the ClubSport Handbrake and ClubSport Handbrake V1.5 (note: the ClubSport Handbrake V2 is not compatible). First, connect the mounting brackets using the bolts and washers included with the adapter. Then, simply place your handbrake between the brackets and attach it using the included bolts and washers. When the handbrake is mounted to the front of the table clamp, you can still attach your shifter to the top.

For all use cases, make sure the table clamp is securely seated against the front of the desk/table and the clamp feet are completely touching the mounting surface. To find out more about racing at a desk and setup tips, check our other Explorer articles.
