B - STEERING WHEEL ATTACHMENT

ATTACHING THE WHEEL

Before attaching your wheel, make sure your base-side quick release is upright.
When oriented correctly, no pinhole should be positioned at the bottom of the connector.

The top of the base-side QR is more rounded than the underside. It is not possible to connect the wheel incorrectly.

To attach your wheel, slide it directly onto the Base. Do not force the connection. If it does not attach easily, check that the base-side QR is correctly aligned.

DETACHING THE WHEEL

To detach the wheel, squeeze the sleeve mechanism while carefully pulling the wheel towards you.

C - FIRMWARE UPDATE

 

NOTE: A Base firmware update may be needed for your ClubSport Formula V3 to be detected properly. We recommend checking regularly for new updates. 

Firmware updates can only be performed with the Fanatec App (PC only).

STEP 1

Download and install the latest version of the Fanatec App.

STEP 2

To update your hardware, make sure it is connected to PC via USB and is in PC mode (red). Use the included USB cable with your Fanatec Base.

STEP 3

Connect the ClubSport Formula V3 to your Base (see chapter B - STEERING WHEEL ATTACHMENT).

STEP 4

Open the Fanatec App. If new firmware is available, a red dot will be displayed next to the firmware icon. Click on the icon to open the Firmware Manager.

STEP 5

Click on the "UPDATE" button in the Firmware Manager. Follow the instructions on screen and update your hardware components. Close the Firmware Manager when all updates are completed.

D - CENTER CALIBRATION

CENTER CALIBRATION VIA STEERING WHEEL

After a Base firmware update, an info screen prompting you to center your steering wheel will be shown in the wheel's display.

STEP 1

Enter the Tuning Menu by pressing the button shown.

STEP 2

Turn your wheel to the center position.

Press the button combination as shown.

Exit the Tuning Menu by pressing the button shown.

CENTER CALIBRATION IN FANATEC APP (PC ONLY)

STEP 1

In the Fanatec App, select your Base in the left column.

Turn your wheel to the center position.

Click on "WHEEL CENTER CALIBRATION" in the Fanatec App window.

E - MODES

Cycle through Base modes by pressing the button combination as shown.

NOTE: Available modes depend on your Fanatec Base.
 
  • The ClubSport Formula V3 is fully compatible with PC.
 
  • It is also compatible with PlayStation®4/5 consoles when used with a PlayStation®-licensed Fanatec Base.

F - TUNING OPTIONS

TIP: For detailed explanations of the Fanatec Tuning Menu settings, check your Fanatec Base Quick Start Guide.

STEP 1

To change your Fanatec Base settings, enter the Tuning Menu by pressing the button shown.

STEP 2

Navigate the Tuning Menu and adjust the values using the right FunkySwitch.

STEP 3

Once finished, exit the Tuning Menu by pressing the button shown.

G - INTELLIGENT TELEMETRY (ITM) MODE

A small “ITM” icon in the bottom right of the display shows if ITM is accessible. To scroll through the screens, press and hold the Tuning Button while rotating the FunkySwitch left or right.

H - SHIFTER CALIBRATION

SHIFTER CALIBRATION VIA STEERING WHEEL

STEP 1

Put your shifter* in H-pattern mode (*shifter sold separately).

Press the button combination as shown to enter shifter calibration mode.

STEP 3

Gear to be calibrated will be shown in the steering wheel display.

STEP 4

Select the gear.

STEP 5

Confirm gear with the button shown and repeat for all gears.

Select the "SHIFTER" tab and click on "H-SHIFTER CALIBRATION".

Gear to be calibrated will be shown on screen.

STEP 4

Select the gear and confirm by pressing the button in the Fanatec App. Repeat for all gears.

I - MULTI-POSITION SWITCH (MPS) MODES

Select the Multi-Position Switch mode in the Fanatec App or via the Tuning Menu on your steering wheel.

The Multi-Position Switch simulates two buttons, one when rotating the switch left and one when rotating it right.

Pulse

The Multi-Position Switch outputs a specific button signal for each position which is only sent as a single pulse when you rotate the switch (for games not optimised for a constant signal).

The Multi-Position Switch outputs a constant button signal for each position (optimal).

Game specific: The game can decide which mode is appropriate.
