CSL Elite Loadcell via USB or RJ12?

Hi, Using my pedals via USB connection. Now I'm hardly awaiting my DD 1 and seeing in Fanatec unboxing video, that they recommend to plug the Pedals to the base. Why is it so or do I have understand wrong? On USB the resolution is 16 bit and via base it is 12 bit. Via USB you can make software updates, via base I don't know. Can someone clear me up?

Connecting to the base allows you to adjust brake force, ABS on he fly rather than having to open the driver window. The resolution is the same on DD and also V2.5. Plus it’s one less cable to connect.
  • So I understand now correct that the resolution of the LC is 16 bit on DD wheel base?

Only the LC brake is 16bit and that still needs to be connected to the PC to enable 16bit.
  • If you run the LC brake on the DD and a PS4, how do I activate 16 bits?

How do I make a firmware update especially for the LC brake (PS4)?
  • Hope you are doing well, this manufacturer has plug and play solution for USB technology.
