The latest update for Gran Turismo 7 brings exciting new content and meaningful technical improvements that further enhance the driving simulator’s realism and accessibility. With three new vehicles, updated AI capabilities, expanded World Circuit events, and key adjustments to Fanatec racing hardware, this update reinforces Polyphony Digital’s commitment to delivering a world-class motorsport experience.

New cars available

Three vehicles have joined the ever-growing GT7 lineup:

  • Citroen BX 19 TRS '87 – A vintage French hatchback, now found in the Used Cars dealership.
  • Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car '92 – An icon of the rally world, available in the Legend Cars dealership.
  • Peugeot SUV 2008 Allure '21 – A modern compact SUV, now offered through Brand Central.

This trio broadens the appeal for players interested in everything from European classics to daily drivers.

AI integration expansion and new World Circuits

PlayStation®5 players now get access to Gran Turismo Sophy in the Alsace Village track layout. This advanced AI system, designed to compete with real human players, provides an immersive and reactive racing experience that pushes drivers to their limits.

Three fresh events are now live in World Circuits:

  • Willow Springs: Streets of Willow Springs ReverseSunday Cup
  • Colorado Springs – LakeWorld Rally Challenge Gr.B
  • Watkins Glen Short CourseEuropean Sunday Cup 400

These events feature a mix of tarmac and dirt racing disciplines to challenge players with varying driving skills.

Café Mode addition and new engine swap options

Players at Collector Level 50 can now unlock Extra Menu No.46: Collection: Mercedes-Benz. This curated experience offers deeper insight into the legendary brand’s contributions to automotive history and performance.

Engine swaps have been unlocked for the following five cars (also at Collector Level 50):

  • Lexus RC F '14
  • Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90
  • Nissan Silvia K's Type S (S14) '94
  • Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TwinTurbo (Z32) '89
  • Subaru BRZ S '21

This allows players to transform these vehicles into powerful, customized machines, perfect for high-level racing.

Update 1.60 GT7 Mercedes

The new Scotland location in Scapes offers a picturesque setting for automotive photography. Its rugged landscapes and historic ambiance make it ideal for photo mode enthusiasts.

Fanatec controller enhancements

This patch also includes improvements for Fanatec® steering wheel controllers. Specifically, an issue where the encoder dial inputs did not function properly has been resolved. This fix improves compatibility and responsiveness for Fanatec setups—enhancing control precision, particularly for players using high-end rigs like the Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro. These updates further bridge the gap between virtual and real-world racing by ensuring top-tier hardware operates as intended.

Other technical fixes

  • Adjustments to the hybrid system in the Nissan GT-R LM NISMO '15
  • Fixes for oil pressure and battery display bugs in cockpit view during Lobby races
  • Scapes curation fixes to correct unintended camera spots
  • General localization improvements and bug fixes

This update provides a well-rounded blend of new content and quality-of-life enhancements, particularly benefiting sim racers using Fanatec products, and further cements Gran Turismo 7 as a top-tier racing simulator.
