ClubSport Formula V3. The Legend Reborn.

The ClubSport Formula V3 builds on a design that has defined Formula-style sim racing for years. This latest version is the best yet, with improvements shaped through years of competitive use.

The 290 mm diameter addresses the most common request – a wider wheel that offers improved comfort across a wider range of drivers, and suitable for driving a range of race cars beyond just formula-style. The additional width also means a revised input layout, with more comfortable spacing between the central switches, and a repositioned Tuning Menu button.

The perforated leather grips are user-replaceable, and a redesigned substructure means the buttons also feel better.

As before, nine RGB RevLEDs and six RGB FlagLEDs are used, but the RevLEDs are now higher, closer to the top of the wheel. They surround a 2.7-inch white OLED display, keeping key telemetry within the driver’s natural line of sight.

Intelligent Telemetry Mode allows switching between five data layouts, either manually or through supported game integration. LED behavior and display settings can also be customized through the Fanatec App.

Magnetic shifters come preinstalled via the ClubSport Magnetic Paddle Module. CNC-machined and finished in black anodised aluminum, they deliver a defined, consistent click with strong resistance, supporting rapid and precise gear changes. The Podium Advanced Paddle Module is also supported.

Control inputs have been refined with a focus on tactility and accuracy under pressure. The wheel features two 7-way FunkySwitches, 11 face buttons, two 2-way momentary switches, and three 12-way rotary switches.

The redesigned rotary switches improve both visibility and grip, making adjustments easier to execute at speed, with or without gloves. Two thumb-reachable rotary dials have been updated with increased resistance and clearly defined detents, alongside an integrated push function for added versatility.

Each input has been tuned to deliver clear feedback, allowing for confident adjustments without distraction.

The Formula V3 is not an all-new design. It’s a combination of many refinements to improve the iconic Fanatec Formula wheel while retaining the look and feel of a product that has been in the Fanatec ecosystem for almost 15 years, having been one of the first two wheels available for the original ClubSport Wheel Base in 2012, and a true fan-favorite.
