I can feel the wheel base rotating in steps when powered on. Is this normal?

“Cogging” (the feeling of the motor turning in steps) can be felt in the Podium DD wheel bases, and is caused by the magnets inside of the unit. This unpleasant feeling can be eliminated by perofming the Motor Sensor Calibration.

In order to initiate this process, open the FANATEC Control Panel, and click on the ‘Settings’ tab. Remove the steering wheel from the wheel base, and click on the ‘Motor Sensor Calibration’ box. The wheel base will then perform the calibration procedure, and should only take a few seconds. Please be sure not to touch the rotating shaft during this procedure.
