Does Fanatec XBOX One hardware work on XBOX One X?

We are often asked if all Fanatec XBOX One compatible hardware works also on the XBOX One X (or One S). The answer is YES. According to Microsoft the XBOX One X is "just" another XBOX One like the original version or the One S. This is the original MS statement:
