USB disconnection issues
If you are experiencing USB connectivity issues, please check the following recommendations to resolve the problem:
1. Check if the USB cable is the problem by using a different USB cable. In some environments, it can make sense to use a shielded USB cable.
2. Are you using a longer USB cable or a USB hub? Please use the standard cable and attach your Fanatec device directly to the PC/console.
3. Check if the Fanatec device is related to the issue: Test on another PC or Console
4. Inspect the USB port on the Fanatec device for any damage.
5. Inspect the USB cable for any damage or bending of the connector.
6. If you are using a PC, please check the USB power save functions in the control panel. Turn USB power save functions off to ensure a stable connection.
7. Try grounding your rig, as shown in the pictures below:
7.1) Attach a wire (grounding/earthing kit) to one of the mounting screws of your pedals set, wheelbase or cockpit.
7.2) Connect the other end of the wire to a heating pipe or similar metal object going underground.
