Something in my McLaren GT3 is making a rattling sound

When you shake your McLaren GT3 steering wheel, you may recognize a rattling sound coming from the steering wheel. This rattling sound most probably is caused by the mounting screw which comes with the rim or from the clamp ring mechanism sitting on the plastic connector of the steering wheel.

The mounting screw is included in a small box which is placed inside the back of the steering wheel. When you remove this small box from the steering wheel as shown in the quick guide for the McLaren GT3 on page 2, step 1, the rattling sound should disappear.

If you use the McLaren GT3 with the plastic quick release which is attached to the steering wheel out of the box, it is mandatory to secure the steering wheel to the wheel base with a screw as shown on page 2, step 5 in the quick guide of the McLaren GT3 in order to avoid damages on the plastic of the connector. The lid of the box also acts as the allen key for tightening this screw.

In case there still is something rattling inside the steering wheel even though the box was removed and the clamp ring mechanism is secured, please do not open the product yourself!
